How many women are simply too busy to wash their hair daily?

Let's be honest, Who has the time?

This DIY recipe is edible, ensuring safety around children and pets, and all the ingredients are available in your kitchen, making it very cost-effective.

DIY Dry Shampoo Recipe Provided Below

Ingredients you will need-

Dark Hair

3 tablespoons arrowroot powder

2-3 tablespoons cocoa powder

Essential oil of your choice- the amount is to your preference, keep adding till you like the smell.

I use Lavender its my favorite

Light Hair

1/4 cup arrowroot powder

1-2 teaspoon cocoa powder (can omit if you have very light hair)

Essential oil of your choice

Red Hair

Same as dark hair but add a pinch of cinnamon with the cocoa powder

Directions-

  1. Add the arrowroot powder to a small mixing bowl or wide mouth mason jar.

  2. Using a measuring spoon, start by adding a tablespoon at a time of cocoa powder (dark hair) or teaspoon (light hair).

  3. Then stir it in and add more if needed depending on your hair.

  4. Add your essential oils to your liking.

  5. Store in a glass wide mason jar and get yourself a big makeup brush to apply to your hair.

  6. I like to triple the recipe to make it last longer. I make this every 6 months or so.

" A year ago when I couldn't wash my hair for 2 months because of my surgery this was a lifesaver for me "

I don't like to wash my hair everyday. I use this in between my washes and it works great at taking the grease out and it makes my hair shine and I love the smell.

A huge perk is that it's all non-toxic making me not think twice about using it.

Enjoy and please let me know if you make it and what your thoughts are!
